WHAT IS THE ARTISTS’ WORKSHOP

THE WORKSHOP was founded and chartered in 1957 by 15 artists to foster and encourage art and its appreciation. It is a non-profit, tax exempt corporation.

MONTHLY MEETINGS are held at 7 P.M. the first Wednesday of every month from September through May in the second floor studio at 115 Canal Street, next to the Chamber of Commerce. The business meeting is followed by a lecture or demonstration by qualified artist and is open to the public.

Your areas of interest in the arts are very important to us because we try to have classes & instructors available to meet the needs of all.

If you are a "winter visitor" in our area, your permanent address is important so we can send you advance notice of workshops and classes scheduled for the forth-coming Winter season.

Volunteering to serve on a committee or as an officer is a sure fire way to make new friends and to make the organization "your very own".
