When I was asked to teach a Teen group at the Artist’s Workshop, I was excited to get it started. It wasn’t long before I had adults asking to join the class to learn the basics of drawing and painting, etc. Now we have a Multi-generational group with artists from 10 to 90. It is a unique and exciting mix of artists of all ages. Everyone  dives into their imagination, developing their artist eyes, and encouraging each other with artistic aspirations. I am so pleased with the success of all my students.

Each class you will find artists working in different mediums. We have ventured into Japanese Ink Painting and Chinese Calligraphy, still life, landscape and portrait painting, shaving cream and acrylic experimental painting, painting with strips of cardboard, some students have even ventured into the realm of printmaking.

     We have many seasoned artists and some of whom were considered beginners when they started in the class. I would say that these artists have moved out of the beginner class and are fulfilling their dreams and successfully creating art.

     Future plans are to explore classes in Drawing styles, Pen & Ink drawing, Pastels, Watercolor, Acrylic Painting, Bookmaking, paper marbling, and relief print making.

                                          Multi-generational Art Exhibit         

     A Multi-generational art exhibit of the work of students from Regina Wise’s Expressions Workshop Class is held at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach, Fl 32168 in the Spring of each year during Library hours. This ongoing art class is held on Thursdays from 4:15 PM to 7:15 PM at the Artists’ Workshop 115 Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach.

     The art show is one of New Smyrna Beach’s most captivating shows.  It highlights the importance of art education and creative expression for students of all ages and stages of human development. The show features works by children as young as 10 years-of-age and works by our mature adult artists.
